how much is deduction from the salary in germany, do we need to pay national insurance, or need a insurance (medical), any other tax need to pay for government like council, water , gas, electricity,garbage,sewage,television etc..please reply...is it compulsory to know the language.....please please reply.......

Well, it depends if he or she is married. Taxes and health insurance are usually deducted from your monthly salary. If you're single it's all in all about 48%. Electricity and garbage and other utilities are seperate. Don't forget: as a US citizen you do need a work permit.
