If a US citizen living and working in Germany (the "tax home") wins a 7-figure US lottery, will the winnings be taxed in both countries? If so, what's a ballpark estimate of the percentage you will end up paying?

You will only pay tax to the government in Germany, but you will have to pay tax to take it on the plane back to Germany (money worth over $10,000 US must be declared and departure tax must be payed) if that happened you would be the most lucky unlucky person

you don't need to pay taxes for lottery wins in germany.
And you win in America not in germany
